FAQs
Health coaching is a collaborative and client-centered approach to achieving your health and wellness goals. It's not about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions; instead, it's a personalized and holistic process that empowers you to make sustainable changes in your life. At ARISE, we believe that optimal health and well-being are within reach for everyone.
Your coach will work closely with you to:
- Set Meaningful Goals: We help you define clear, achievable health objectives that align with your values and aspirations.
- Develop Sustainable Habits: Through evidence-based strategies, we assist you in building and maintaining healthy habits that last a lifetime.
- Provide Education: We offer valuable insights and information to enhance your understanding of nutrition, exercise, stress management, and more.
- Offer Accountability: Coaches keep you on track and motivated, providing support and encouragement every step of the way.
Health coaching is for anyone looking to take control of their well-being and create positive, lasting change in their life. Our services are tailored to a wide range of individuals, including:
- Individuals Seeking Better Health: Whether you're looking to manage chronic conditions, lose weight, increase energy, or simply feel better, health coaches are here to help.
- Busy Professionals: We understand the demands of a hectic lifestyle. Our coaches work with professionals to optimize their health while balancing work and personal life.
- Parents and Caregivers: The time and sacrifice required to care for others present its own set of unique health challenges. Health coaches assist parents and caregivers in addressing these struggles with empathy and understanding.
- Seniors: Health coaches support seniors in maintaining their health and vitality as they age, promoting independence and quality of life.
Eating habits/nutrition, physical activity, weight loss, sleep and relaxation, stress management, personal fulfillment, spiritual practices, chronic illness, and mindset change are all areas that you can discuss with your coach. It is your choice what to focus on to improve your well-being.
It is important to note that your Health Coach is NOT a nutritionist or personal trainer. While they may collaborate with other providers to ensure continuity of treatment, your coach cannot provide specific dietary advice or workout regimens.
All coaching sessions are conducted online via Google Meet. We encourage clients to have their cameras on and be in a quiet, private environment during each session. This “face-to-face” experience promotes relationship-building between the client and coach, allows for visual feedback, and creates an increased sense of accountability. Life gets hectic; that's why ARISE is committed to fitting seamlessly into your schedule, wherever you are.
In traditional nurse or provider visits, the provider is the expert and may diagnose symptoms or prescribe treatment. In health coaching, you are the expert decision-maker for your life; the health coach guides you in setting and reaching your goals. Your overall well-being, whether you are managing a medical condition or not, is the goal of health coaching.
Your health coach will serve as a guide on your health journey, not a wellness dictator. Instead of a doctor handing you pills or a nutritionist giving you a meal plan, health coaches work alongside you to identify your personal goals, values, and motivations. This process of self-exploration sets the foundation for small, doable steps that become long-lasting, meaningful, and powerful changes.
